Meet the Blind Month Zoom Pep Rally From Colorado on White Cane Awareness Day

Greetings Federation family, allies, and friends,

There are many Meet the Blind month activities in which you can participate in chapters and affiliates all over the Nation. As part of our Mountain Time at 5 series, the National Federation of the Blind of Colorado warmly, enthusiastically invites one and all to our White Cane Awareness Day NFBCO Comcast 6 Dot Dash pep rally, Thursday, October 15, at 5 p.m. Mountain Time (7 Eastern, 1 p.m. Hawaiian.).

There will be prizes! Really! We will remember this week. There will be special guests! Scott LaBarre, President, NFBCO, will talk a little about the significance of White Cane Awareness Day. What does the White Cane Law really mean for blind people? There will be time for you to ask questions about the variety of work being done by the National Federation of the Blind Sports and Rec Division. If you have never been to a NFBCO Mountain Time at 5 pep rally? You owe it to yourself to come run, walk, or roll with us. Bring your pom-poms, drums, and cowbells. (More cowbell!) You will learn about all the ways you can do The Dash. Fun for the entire family.

Also joining us will be blind, extreme athletes Chaz Davis, CCB alum, as well as the blind man who ran across America, motivator, Jason Romero.

Rah-rah-rah sis-boom-bah! Zoom coordinates below. Special Thanks to Comcast, Vanda Pharmaceuticals, LaBarre Law, Blackstone Consulting Inc. Audio Information Network of Colorado, and all of our underwriters for making all of our Meet the Blind month activities possible.
